An overhead crane (also called a bridge crane or overhead bridge crane) is a piece of lifting equipment that runs on elevated rails — typically mounted on the ceiling or supporting structure of a factory — to provide horizontal coverage across an entire workshop bay. Unlike gantry cranes that rest on the floor, an overhead crane maximizes floor space and is the standard solution for permanent production lines, heavy manufacturing, and repetitive lifting operations.

Yangyumech offers a complete range of overhead bridge cranes from 1 ton to 400 tons, including single girder and double girder designs, European FEM standard cranes, explosion-proof models for hazardous environments, and grab bucket cranes for bulk material handling. Every crane is engineered to order based on your span, lifting height, working class (A1–A8), and specific application requirements.

FAQ

An overhead crane runs on elevated rails attached to the building structure (ceiling or support beams), leaving floor space completely free. A gantry crane runs on ground-level rails or rubber tires, requiring dedicated floor space but not needing building support. Choose overhead for permanent installation with available ceiling structure; choose gantry if you need to move the crane or lack ceiling support.

The working class (per ISO 4301) indicates how intensively the crane is used — from occasional light use (A1–A3) to continuous heavy-duty operation (A7–A8). A higher class means more robust motors, gearboxes, and structural design. We’ll recommend the right class based on how many lifts per hour and total daily operating hours you expect.

Pricing depends on capacity, span, working class, and configuration. A standard single girder overhead crane (10T, 16m span) starts at around USD 15,000–25,000 fob China. Double girder and custom configurations range from USD 30,000 to several hundred thousand for heavy-duty models. Request a quote — we provide detailed breakdowns with no hidden fees.

Standard designs support 380V/50Hz/3phase (China standard) and 415V/50Hz (Asia/Middle East). We also configure for 220V–690V ranges and 60Hz systems for North America, South America, and other markets. Specify your site voltage when requesting a quote.

Standard single girder overhead cranes: 15–25 days. Double girder and custom configurations: 30–45 days. Explosion-proof cranes: 25–35 days. Shipping adds 20–45 days depending on destination port. We’ll give you a confirmed timeline at order confirmation.

Yes. We provide detailed installation drawings, a step-by-step commissioning guide, and optional on-site installation supervision. For regions where we have local partners, we can arrange turnkey installation. Most customers install with their own local contractors using our drawings — it’s straightforward for any experienced rigging team.
