An electric hoist is a small electric lifting device mounted on a crane girder or I-beam track. It consists of a motor, a gearbox, a drum, a wire rope or chain, and a control system. Compared to manual hoists, electric hoists use electric power to lift materials vertically. They offer controllable speed and require minimal effort to operate, making them essential lifting equipment in modern industrial workshops, warehouses, and assembly lines.
Electric hoists are primarily divided into two categories: wire rope electric hoists and electric chain hoists. The former uses wire rope as the load-bearing medium and is suitable for greater lifting heights and heavier loads; the latter uses a chain as the load-bearing medium, features a more compact structure, and is suitable for workstations with limited space.
Yangyumech Machinery manufactures a full range of electric hoists with capacities ranging from 0.25 tons to 40 tons, including high-specification European-standard models (equipped with German ABM motors and SEW gearboxes), standard economy models, and explosion-proof models. All electric hoists are compatible with Yangyu Machinery’s overhead cranes, gantry cranes, and jib cranes, and can also be supplied separately.

Yangyumech Machinery’s electric hoists are compatible with all Yangyu Machinery-manufactured overhead and gantry cranes. For cranes from other manufacturers, please provide the crane girder model and rail specifications; Yangyu Machinery will confirm compatibility and provide a quote.
Standard CD-type wire rope electric hoists (3-ton, single-speed) range from approximately $800 to $1,500. MD-type dual-speed models range from approximately $1,200 to $2,000. Electric chain hoists (2-ton) range from approximately $600 to $1,200. Prices for high-specification European standard models are approximately 30%–50% higher. The duty cycle indicates the frequency of hoist use and is classified from M1 to M8 (ISO) or A1 to A8 (FEM). M4 and above (inclusive) are for heavy-duty or high-frequency applications. If the duty cycle is underestimated during selection, the motor will overheat frequently, and the structure will suffer premature fatigue damage. Yangyumech Machinery engineers will proactively confirm your actual usage frequency when providing a quote.
The Chinese standard is 380V/50Hz/three-phase. In Southeast Asia and the Middle East, it is typically 415V/50Hz. In North America, it is 460V/60Hz or 220V/60Hz. Some light-duty models can operate on 220V single-phase power (special request required). Please specify your power supply conditions when requesting a quote.
Yes. The MD series comes standard with a two-speed motor (high and low speeds). The ABM variable-frequency motor (optional) enables stepless speed control from 0–100%, making it particularly suitable for precision assembly applications requiring accurate positioning.
The standard warranty period is 12 months from the date of delivery. During the warranty period, Yangyumech Machinery will replace the motor or gearbox free of charge if failure is caused by manufacturing defects. Accessories and consumable parts (wire ropes, brake linings, chains) are considered consumables and are not covered by the warranty.
